Amara Valley off grid Retreat Centre & Dharma Shala

Why Amara? I spent 11 days at Amara Valley and fell in love with it's lush green nature and rolling hills. I'm so excited to introduce you to this off grid (powered by renewable energy!) community centre and share this beautiful oasis all together during the retreat!

We'll practice yoga & movement in a spacious and fully equipped studio, which has a big glass window overlooking the oak forest in the front of the studio. There are six additional smaller windows that can be fully opened to let the fresh air flow through the studio. There is a wood burner in the studio, too!

Common areas include swimming pool with sun loungers, training area with weights and gymnastic rings, living room with sofas, library, dining area (also with a wood burner), communal little kitchen.

Plenty of space in the nature for exploration and contemplation; to enjoy the silence, sunshine, to journal, daydream, reconnect with oneself and others.

Yoga & Movement Sessions: What can you expect?

12 sessions (90 min each)
during the retreat will include:

Bamboo legs & Upper Body Strength; Hand Balancing & Flexibility; Floor work and Locomotion; Vinyasa Flow to Slow; Deconstructing Arm Balances; Hip Mobility; Movement Exploration Flow; Yin Yoga + Self Massage with tennis ball; Mindfulness Meditation and more.
We will play with blocks, tennis balls, gymnastic rings, roll on the floor and hopefully have a beautiful time exploring the movement, the breath and the present moment. All 'levels' will be catered for and everyone will be playfully challenged and supported in their personal growth: physical and mental.

Who are the teachers?

Daniel is a movement teacher and physiotherapist with more than 15 years’ experience. Originally from Croatia, he moved to the UK six years ago. Since then, he has taught in movement and yoga studios across east London, as well as being one of the main teachers in the London Movement Group.
His philosophy involves a grounded, well-balanced approach to physical and cognitive training. Every practice should include opposite ends of spectrum. Currently, his passions are teaching hand-balancing, flexibility, strength work and floor-work/locomotion.

Expect a fun, dynamic and interesting combination of disciplines in his sessions. Both your body and mind will be challenged!

Ieva Luna is a yoga teacher, movement enthusiast, rock climber and nature lover. She always says that ‘there is no right or wrong and the most important thing is to do what feels good to you’ during your practice. Specialising in creative and functional flow style yoga classes, Ieva has a strong focus on anatomy and sustainability that ensures the well being of individual bodies and minds. Ieva loves to focus on movement exploration and on building strength in the end ranges in yoga asana practice. She also believes it’s important to cultivate a curious & playful attitude while exploring more challenging yoga postures! Her focus is to be in the present moment and the journey instead of the destination, both on and off the mat.

Cancelation Policy and FAQ for Yoga & Movement Retreat in Amara Valley, 15-20 of July, 2022

- What about the payment? Do I have to pay the full price in advance?

The payment can be made in full or a deposit of 300 euros can be made first to secure your spot and then the rest of the payment to be paid by the 15th of June, 2022.

- Can I come by myself?

Absolutely! Most of our Moonlight Yoga retreat participants are coming alone and leaving with new friends in the end of the retreat. Welcoming and friendly environment with like minded people is a fertile ground to connect with other fellow travellers, yoga and movement practitioners and make (possibly) lifelong friendships.

- What about your cancellation policy?

We know that these are uncertain things, and it's worrying to plan things in advance. For this reason we are offering a flexible cancelation policy, which we hope is fair for both parties.

If you can't attend the retreat and would like to cancel your participation 35 days before the retreat - the full amount will be refunded to you including the deposit, but minus 50 euros admin fee.

If cancellation takes place less then 35 days before the retreat, your payment will be transferred for future retreats minus the deposit. If you or us find a last minute replacement of your spot, then the full payment amount will be transferred for future retreat including the deposit, but minus 50 euros admin fee.
