Lithuania (4 nights/ 5 days)

Welcome to Lithuania's retreat Vol.2 - same epic location (private lake, bouldering wall!), same duration, yet unique and slightly different to my previous retreat. 5 days of movement, yoga, connection, nature, sauna, new friends, silence, starry night sky in a supportive and welcoming environment.

This retreat is deigned for nature lovers, yoga practitioners and movement enthusiasts who'd like to meet new friends, rest and recharge, as well as learn and deepen their yoga practice while being surrounded by nature in a safe and welcoming space.

Absolutely everyone is welcome - no matter if you are new to yoga or have been practising for a long time.

Retreat Space

Our traditional Lithuanian home is situated on 6 hectares of private land, surrounded by nature, forest and a private lake. This country house has won several awards as the most beautiful and cared after country house in the whole of Lithuania.

Picture yourself under the starry night sky, breathing in fresh air, and listening to the sounds of nature.

The country house has a private lake with a charming little island, plenty of space to walk around, a Japanese-style waterfall, a Moon board (bouldering wall), and an observation tower to watch the sunset.

A range of communal spaces, include hammocks, a dining area with a wood burner for us all to gather, a communal kitchen to prepare coffee & tea, a glass house to read a book or journal, and many other chill-out areas.

Plenty of space for connection, exploration and introspection.

Yoga Classes

In total there will be around 13 hours of practices and workshops with two teachers. Expect to playfully challenge yourself, explore the movement of the body, the breath as well as learn something new every day! Morning yoga practices will be more dynamic and energising (flow style), evening practices more gentle and calm (yin yoga). We will also enjoy one afternoon movement exploration workshop, that is inspired by animal flow, contemporary dance, yoga postures and movement culture.

Who are the instructors?

Ieva Luna - the founder and host of Moonlight Yoga Retreats, a passionate climber and movement enthusiast. Ieva received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate in India and was deepening her yoga practice in Indonesia and China for several years. Additionally, Ieva has completed a Yin Yoga + Acupressure teacher training course, 'Yoga as a therapy for Back Problems', Contemporary Yoga Flow training with A. Hocke and A. Husler as well as various workshops with Jenni Rawlings from Shoulder and Hip Applied Anatomy to Nervous System and Pain Science. Ieva is currently studying with Jules Mitchel to receive her 300 hour yoga teacher training certificate in Biomechanics, Pain science and nervous system. Ieva is also a certified CBT practitioner as well as had attended various courses on Non Violent Communication.

Her intention is to create a welcoming, supportive and nourishing space during the retreat where everybody could feel comfortable and at ease. A home away from home.

During the retreat, you will enjoy 5 x 90 min yoga classes and workshops with Ieva Luna, such as hip mobility flow, healthy spine & backbends, discovery vinyasa and more.
yoga teacher ieva luna

Tautė - I‘ve been studying and teaching yin yoga for 7 years now. I believe and apply the functional approach where we focus of the sensation, not the shape. Function over form, as Paul Grilley says. I’ve been organising yin yoga and writing retreats here in Lithuania for 5 years, and have gathered a beautiful community of ‘adequate spacepeople’, as one of them once said. My teaching attracts people who are looking for very kind ways to approach their body. I’m super happy to collaborate with Ieva whose style of teaching I appreciate greatly.

About Taute's yin practices:

Yin yoga is a very introspective practice, and has become my tool to go deep and to invite others to go there. It‘s your choice what type of depth interests you – it may be strictly body tissues related, or as a way to get a glimpse into your psyche through the gates of those tissues. It‘s very important for me to respect the level of readiness, openness and willingness of each person, of their day, of a certain chapter of their life. It‘s your practice.

During the retreat, you will enjoy 2x90min yin yoga practices with Taute.

Sauna ritual 'the four seasons' with Lukas

'The Four Seasons' sauna ritual is an immersive experience with a sauna master Lukas that takes you on a journey through the changing seasons. This ritual involves four rounds of sauna, each representing a different season of the year, along with accompanying natural treatments and activities. From natural body scrub to a honey body mask and bathing birch made from the trees of Lithuania - this unique experience is one that should not be missed. The Four Seasons sauna ritual was one of the standout moments of the last Lithuanian retreat, with many participants stating that they would return to Lithuania just for the opportunity to partake in this ritual once again.

Sound meditation concert

During the retreat we will also take part in a sound healing concert with Živilė.

The session will start with the full body relaxation. Following this, we will then gently dive into the journey of Tibetan bowls and gong sounds.

The harmonious vibrations of these instruments are designed to facilitate deep meditation, reduce stress, and promote a sense of inner peace and well-being.

Reviews from our last retreat in Lithuania

"I have been to two retreats Ieva organised and held so far, her attention to details, her organisation and level of hospitality is outstanding. Regardless of your level of yoga she is very knowledgable about the body and it´s muscular functions and it sure does not hurt that she is a fun person as well. You can feel she loves to host and share her knowledge. I can highly recommend her teachings and her retreats who are a great combination of learning, calming down and spoiling yourself in beautiful surroundings and with great food."

"Ieva's retreat in Lithuania was, quite honestly, pretty life-changing for me. It gave me the opportunity to completely detach and to start some healing. Ieva created an environment that felt like a huge warm hug in my life with space to be however you need to be and permission to experience things the way you need to experience them. I could not recommend it more. Thank you Ieva."
